ANECDOTES AND CURIOSITIES:
Youri Raffi Djorkaeff was an Inter player for three seasons, from 1996 to 1999, wearing the black and blue jersey 127 times, scoring 39 goals. Born in Lyon on March 9, 1968, he is a son of art and grew up obsessed with being better than his father Jean, a star in France and in the national team between the 60s and 70s. Moratti snatches him from the competition by writing a check for 7 billion and a half lire, with Inter he wins the 1997/98 Uefa Cup. In the national team he was world champion in 1998 and European champion in 2000. He is nicknamed Il Serpente, a nickname coined at the Monaco of Arsene Wenger: his technical characteristics made him lethal in the last 30 meters. A hybrid style of play, from the number «9.5», not a 9 but not even a 10, the perfect mix between midfielder and striker. In the Inter shirt he scored a goal that entered by right among the most beautiful scoring in the history of football: the one he scored in an overhead kick against Roma on 5 January 1997.
