Linea Time is among the brands that had a brief stint in the Italian league. It is certainly remembered for being the technical sponsor of Napoli in the 1984/1985 season, the year Maradona was acquired and thus the first jersey worn by the legendary number 10. Linea Time no longer produced jerseys for SSC Napoli , but everyone will remember that shirt precisely because it symbolized not only a great champion but also a deal that would forever change club negotiations. In fact, Corrado Ferlaino and Antonio Juliano snatched the Pibe de Oro from Barcelona for a whopping 13 billion lire, a sum considered scandalous by the standards of the time.

Linea Time jerseys were made of 100% acrylic, a wool-like fabric, and were worn during winter league matches. Sponsorship was liberalized in the early 1980s, and Napoli jerseys featured the white sponsor Cirio embroidered in the center of the jersey, along with the technical sponsor, the Linea Time logo. Football fans will surely remember that this was the first year the club logo was a simple white N in a blue circle. Today, these historic football jerseys from the 1980s and 1990s have become true collector's items.
