Reebok's historic soccer jerseys from Boston Mood
Reebok was founded in 1895 as a sports accessories and goods manufacturer and was initially called Mercury Sport. It changed its name only in 1958 and derives from the Afrikaans-Dutch word for reebok, a species of African antelope. From the second half of the 1990s to the early 2000s, the Reebok brand was associated with Premier League, in fact, since 1997 the Bolton played its home games at the ''Reebok Stadium''. In 2003, in addition to the new agreement with the Manchester City , there had been a six-year renewal for 100 million pounds in total, the one already agreed with Liverpool in 1996. Reebok has been owned by the giant Adidas since the beginning of 2006. That same year the legendary Thierry Henry announced that he had signed a five-year contract with Reebok and therefore it would have been the last World Cup wearing a pair of Nikes.
Reebok Vintage Football Shirts
There Reebok Reebok can be considered a true shooting star in football, creating uniforms that have acquired a very high value among collectors. In fact, today the company focuses exclusively on fitness and streetwear. After the famous "Play Responsibility" campaign, filmed in the post-apocalyptic setting of a deserted area of Barcelona, Henry is seen demolishing under-construction buildings and abandoned cars simply by kicking the ball, feigning amazement at the power and precision of his right foot. Reebok seemed ready to challenge the big giants, having become synonymous with innovation and design. Instead, it lost interest in team sports, including the NBA and NHL. Among the rarities, we remember an eclectic vintage soccer jersey of the Brazilian team Saint Paul Made by Reebok for the 2008 Sao Paulo championship. White with the classic black and red cross stripes, surmounted in the center by the team logo with the lettering SPFC: Sao Paulo Football Club. The shirt has a crew neck with contrasting inserts and breathable materials, and the number 11 is featured on the back. In the 2008 season, the team won the Brazilian championship.
