Meyba, the retro soccer jerseys of Spanish teams
There Meyba is a Spanish sportswear brand. Founded in the 1940s by Josep Mestre and Joaquim Ballbé, whose surnames start with "Me y Ba." They began by producing swimwear and sports equipment. In fact, it's certainly not one of the football clothing brands that spring to mind; it was brought to success in the 1980s and 1990s by Barcelona . The Catalan brand sponsored the home team from 1982 to 1992, accompanying them to numerous victories. The rolled-up M logo is, in fact, quite recognizable among football fans: the lines are clean and minimalist, and the Barcelona of those years, the so-called Dream Team led by Johan Cruijff, won their first Champions League in 1992. We recall the uniform worn during the 1992 final against Sampdoria; the Catalans wore an orange Meyba jersey with a blue collar and sleeves, stylistically one of Barcelona's most popular.
