DETAILS

Vintage match shirt in excellent condition, year 96/97, number 11 on the back. It has small spots on the lower front and on the left sleeve and the number appears slightly ruined by time, despite this the texture is soft to the touch, the pink is alive and the patches are kept on a regular basis. Technical sponsor Kappa, commercial sponsor Giornale di Sicilia.

ANECDOTES AND CURIOSITIES

History of a derby of the two Sicilies: it was the 96/97 season, Palermo had Ignazio Arcoleo on the bench, who the year before had touched A with the famous "Palermo dei picciotti". However, fundamental players such as Berti, Iachini, and Scarafoni had left that team, replaced by elements such as Bonaiuti, Favi and Saurini who gave a modest contribution to the cause. The match against Cosenza was played on January 12, 1997, it was a clear 3-1 defeat with goals from Logarzo, Biffi, Miceli and Guidoni. Palermo relegated to Serie C1 after coming second from bottom in the standings and having the worst defense with 55 goals conceded.
