Description

Away shirt produced by Nike for the 1997/1998 season. The shirt is in perfect condition, the fabric is good and shows some signs of wear from washing in the jersey areas on the collar. It has no halos and color discontinuities. Size M

Short sleeve white away model. The V-neck in jersey has a blue collar with blue piping in correspondence with the inserts of the sleeves. The same colors correspond with the vertical stripes that start from the shoulders and go down the sides, making the uniform much more dynamic. On the front, on the heart side, the SSC Napoli crest is sewn and on the right the blue Nike logo with light blue border, the commercial sponsor Polenghi is thermo-applied in the centre. The number 8 is applied in rubber on the back.

That season was tragic for Napoli. In 33 years of the Ferlaino era it was the first relegation to Serie B and the worst data ever in the top flight for Napoli was scored. The club, in the throes of a financial crisis, sold many valuable players and changed 4 coaches: Mutti, Mazzone, Galeone and Montefusco.
