Historical anecdote:
Vincent Candela was one of AS Roma’s most beloved defenders, known for his technical skills and vision on the field. During the 1997/1998 season, under Zdeněk Zeman’s offensive philosophy, Candela, a French left-back, played a key role, contributing both defensively and offensively. He stayed with Roma until 2005 and was one of the key players in their Scudetto-winning season of 2000/2001.
