Perugia home jersey for the 1999/2000 season, made by Galex. The deep red design features white side panels with a griffin pattern. The shoulders display repeated Galex logos, and the polo collar has a V-neck opening. The Galex logo and Perugia crest are on the chest, with Perugina as the central sponsor. On the back, the name "Nakata" and the number 7, worn by Japanese playmaker Hidetoshi Nakata.

Hidetoshi Nakata joined Perugia in 1998, becoming the first Japanese player in Serie A. His refined technique and vision quickly won over fans and attracted attention from top European clubs. In the 1999/2000 season, Nakata delivered stunning performances and crucial goals before moving to Roma in January 2000, helping them secure the Serie A title the following season.
