DETAILS

Arsenal home shirt for the 1988/89 season; short sleeves, V-neck, red with black and white inserts. On the front there are: logo commercial sponsor JVC applied to the centre, team logo applied to the heart side, logo commercial sponsor Adidas flocked right side.

ANECDOTES AND TRIVIA

Arsenal returned to winning the title after 18 years. Coach George Graham could not have Paul Davis for 9 games, who was suspended for a brawl during a match against Southampton. Despite winning the championship, the Gunners could not play in Europe because of the sanctions imposed on English teams after the Heysel incident.
