ANECDOTES AND CURIOSITIES
In the Tuscan village the 96/97 vintage is lived on the wave of the enthusiasm of the previous season, Empoli makes a double miracle in the two seasons 95/96 and 96/97, consecutively grabbing the promotion and thus winning a place in the Olympus of Serie A; this thanks to a close-knit group led by the great Luciano Spalletti. Carmine Esposito's 12 goals marked the fate of the 96/97 success.
