ANECDOTES AND CURIOSITIES:

The 1986/1987 season marked the arrival of Giovanni Trapattoni at the Nerazzurri's helm. "Trap" was fresh off his successes at Juventus but still hungry for victory, so president Pellegrini decided to entrust him with the job and a top-flight team. But results were slow in coming: in Trap's first season in charge, Inter finished third in the league, four points behind champions Napoli, and were stingingly eliminated from the Coppa Italia by Cremonese.
