Historical Anecdote
The 1983/1984 season was Napoli’s last before the Maradona era. Initially coached by Pietro Santin and later by Rino Marchesi, the team finished 12th in Serie A, struggling to avoid relegation. One of the standout players was Ruud Krol, the legendary Dutch defender, who played his final season with Napoli before leaving the club.
