ANECDOTES AND CURIOSITIES

Umbro kitted out Lazio players from 1989 to 1998, shortly before Puma took over for Lazio's golden two-year reign, winning both the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia. The 1990s are known for the arrival of president Sergio Cragnotti, who then led Lazio first to major trophies and then to near bankruptcy in the early 2000s, before the last-gasp rescue by Claudio Lotito, the incoming president of the Roman club.
