La maglia d’allenamento è blu intenso con ampie fasce bianche e inserti diagonali sulle maniche corte e sui fianchi. Il colletto è a V e il marchio FILA compare in grandi lettere bianche al centro del petto, sopra il logo commerciale Toyota. Lo stemma della Fiorentina è posizionato più in alto; le cuciture laterali creano una linea leggermente sagomata. Il retro mantiene il blu, senza nome e numero di calciatore.
La Fiorentina di Giovanni Trapattoni disputò nel 1999/2000 una Champions League di grande prestigio. Il 23 novembre 1999, allo stadio Artemio Franchi, batté 2-0 il Manchester United campione d’Europa in carica grazie ai gol di Gabriel Batistuta e Abel Balbo.
