Maglia da allenamento Sampdoria della stagione 1999/2000, realizzata da Asics.

La maglia d’allenamento è blu acceso, con maniche corte e un ampio inserto bianco e rosso che segue la linea inferiore dei fianchi. Il girocollo presenta una piccola sezione tricolore nei colori della maglia blucerchiata. Il logo Asics è stampato sulle spalle e sulle maniche, con lo stemma della Sampdoria sul petto; al centro compare lo sponsor Dreamcast in caratteri bianchi. Il retro riprende il blu e la fascia grafica bassa, senza personalizzazione del giocatore.

Dopo la retrocessione del 1999, la Sampdoria affrontò il campionato di Serie B 1999/2000 con Gian Piero Ventura in panchina. I blucerchiati chiusero al quinto posto con 62 punti, uno soltanto in meno delle tre squadre a quota 63, tra cui il Napoli promosso in Serie A. Fu un epilogo particolarmente amaro: la risalita immediata sfumò per un margine minimo. La maglia Asics e lo sponsor Dreamcast appartengono a quel periodo di ricostruzione.
