Maglia home Bayern Monaco della stagione 1997/1998, realizzata da Adidas e personalizzata sul retro con Matthäus e il numero 10.

Maglia blu notte con due fasce orizzontali rosse all’altezza del petto e pannelli rossi sulle maniche corte. Il colletto a polo è profilato in bianco e rosso; sulle spalle scorrono le tre strisce Adidas bianche. Sul fronte sono visibili il marchio Adidas, lo stemma del Bayern e lo sponsor Opel; il retro è personalizzato con Bayern München, il numero 10 e il nome Matthäus.

Nel 1997/1998 il Bayern Monaco conquistò la Coppa di Germania, battendo il Duisburg in finale, e terminò il campionato al secondo posto alle spalle del Kaiserslautern. Lothar Matthäus, campione del mondo con la Germania nel 1990, era ancora uno dei giocatori più esperti della squadra bavarese. Il modello blu con fascia rossa venne utilizzato anche nella stagione successiva, rimanendo associato al Bayern della fine degli anni Novanta.
