The classic design showcases the traditional red color with black and white details on the collar and sleeves. The Umbro logo is embroidered on the right chest, while the Manchester United crest is applied on the left. The Vodafone sponsor is prominently displayed in white at the center. On the back, the name V. Nistelrooy and number 10 are flocked in white with a black outline.

The 2000/2001 season marked Ruud van Nistelrooy’s arrival at Manchester United, although the Dutch striker officially debuted the following year due to an injury.
