Shirt in perfect condition, stored like new. Also present inside the original manufacturer's label with size XXL.

DETAILS

Sampdoria jersey season 1996/1997. Home match uniform short-sleeved blue with red, black and white inserts. On the front we find the Sampdoria logo embroidered on the heart side, the Asics logo embroidered on the right side and the company effigy in the weave in the middle. The Lega Serie A patch is sewn on the right sleeve while the number 20 and the lettering VERON are applied on the back in light white plastic. On the back, on the bottom of the shirt, there is the lettering SAMP in the weave.

ANECDOTES AND CURIOSITIES

Sampdoria, even without Vialli, fought for the European positions. Alongside Mancini, a young Vincenzo Montella took his place and immediately made his mark with goals. Serie A was overturned by the Bossman ruling that gave unlimited possibilities to clubs to hire foreign Community players. Veron, two seasons with Samp, was nicknamed "La Brujita" (meaning "the little witch") because his father, a former footballer, was nicknamed "La Bruja".
