ANECDOTES AND CURIOSITIES
On June 30, 1990, the quarter-final was played at the Olimpico in Rome, between the hosts of Italy and the surprising Ireland coached by Jack Charlton. The match ended 1 to 0 in favor of the Azzurri, thanks to a goal by Schillaci, which allowed them to continue the journey towards that longed-for final which, according to many, had to be the minimum goal to be achieved ...
