Inter's 1988/1989 season was that of the Scudetto, the thirteenth in the history of the black and blue. Trapattoni, after two years in chiaroscuro, is called to a turning point. Eugenio Bersellini's team, last year on the Beneamata bench, reached fifth place in the league and success in the 35th edition of the Italian Cup, won by the neroazzurri in the double final against Turin.
