ANECDOTES AND CURIOSITIES
In the 97/98 championship the club, with the arrival of Maurizio Viscidi, offers the new coach a team regenerated by the new signings: center-forward Aruta, Beghetto and Cammarata, midfielders Di Gia, Moretti and Tisci, goalkeeper Bordoni. The Viscidi-branded Pescara got off to a good start immediately, eliminating from the Italian Cup, higher category teams such as Ancona in the first round and Vicenza in the second round, before being eliminated with dignity by Fiorentina (1 - 0 in Florence and 2 - 2 at home after taking the lead by 2 - 0).
