Home match jersey of Sunderland season 2000/2001. On the front, in flock, there is the logo of commercial sponsor Reg Vardy, while on the chest are embroidered logos Nike and team. 

ANECDOTES AND CURIOSITIES

Sunderland arrived in February in second place, but then collapsed, failing to even reach the European places. Curiously, for the third year in a row the championship was won by Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United and for the third time in a row Arsene Wenger's Arsenal finished second.

Tottenham was founded in 1982 by a group of grammar school students and their teacher with the aim of playing in the winter months as they were already part of the Hotspur cricket club.

ANECDOTES AND CURIOSITIES

The Hammers returned this season in the First Division after 2 years of absence but relegated immediately. Curiously, although they were relegated, Manchester United lost against West Ham saying goodbye to the hopes of winning the English championship.

ANECDOTES AND CURIOSITIES

Liverpool's season was excellent. The Reds, in fact, fought until the end for the title and won the FA Cup and the Charity Shield. During the FA Cup semifinal against Nottingham Forest there were riots in the stadium. The neutral field of Sheffield, in fact, had been overcrowded and 96 Liverpool fans died in the stands. The challenge for the title against Arsenal this season inspired the well-known film "90° Fever" starring Colin Firth and Mark Strong.

Chelsea's season was not exciting, the best result in the competitions was the semi-final in the League Cup. Chelsea is one of the many clubs in London and, curiously enough, the players are nicknamed The Pensioners.

ANECDOTES AND CURIOSITIES

Although credited as qualified in Europe, Sheffield Wednesday was the protagonist of a rather anonymous season finishing in the lower standings, also accomplice the serious injury of the strong Hirst.
